Comprehensive services for burn survivors and people with facial disfigurement

Sunshine Foundation has developed comprehensive services to address the physical, psychological and social needs of burn survivors and people with facial disfigurement. After the injury or the illness, during the rehabilitation process, and finally when it is time to return within the community, Sunshine is there to accompany burn survivors and people with facial disfigurement on the road to recovery. Sunshine achieves this by relying on a multi-disciplinary team of specialists in the fields of social work, physical rehabilitation, psychological counseling and vocational counseling, all cooperating as a team. At the end of 2010, staff of Sunshine Foundation consisted of 89 full-time employees.

The Foundation also maintains a presence across Taiwan with five service centers (Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung and Chiayi), one Rehabilitation Center (Taipei) and one Half-Way House (Taipei).
