Psychosocial services of Sunshine aim to help
clients adjust to disfigurement, develop a positive attitude, and
build the confidence necessary to face the world. Social workers
and psychological counselors play an important role in this process.
Sunshine¡¦s social workers do not just assess needs of clients, coordinate
services and link available resources, but they also build a close
relationship built on trust, accompanying and encouraging the client
in the process. Social workers also organize a wide variety of activities
for clients and their families designed to build confidence and
encourage sharing or exchange of information.
