Background:

The Sunshine Foundation was founded 22 years ago to be a professional organization assisting burn survivors and people with facial disfigurement in Taiwan. As a nonprofit organization, we have been actively providing our clients with clinical counseling and physical rehabilitation services. Although these services are urgently needed by our clients, psychological and social rehabilitation are also essential for them to live their lives with confidence. Since there is only a limited amount of research and documentation in this field available in Taiwan, it is important for us to open up more global resources. In holding this international conference, we wish to offer a chance for the professionals in related fields in different countries to exchange experiences and research results, so that everybody involved may enhance their skills and widen their knowledge for the ultimate benefit of burn survivors and people with facial disfigurement around the world.

Goals of the Conference:

We wish to offer an opportunity for experts in related fields from different countries to exchange their knowledge and experiences, so that we may all enhance our skills and can provide burn survivors and facially-disfigured people with even better services in the future.
